Several drill targets have been identified at the Valmond Gold property in Quebec, Donner Metals (CVE:DON) said.
The firm is in partnership with owner Midland Exploration on the 35 sq km property and can earn 50% of the property over four years after it struck an option agreement last December.
A survey of 48.1 line-kilometres in December identified a strong anomaly, extending over 800 metres and two drill holes are planned, the statement said.
Further east, in an area that has never been drill-tested, five further shallow holes are planned to test these new targets at about 100m depth.
The results of a property-wide helicopter-borne electromagnetic survey, totalling 900 line-km are pending, Donner said.
The company can earn 50% of the property over four years through a cash payment of C$ $250,000, including a C$20,000 payment upon signing the agreement and spending C$2.5 mln on exploration with C$300,000 during the first year.
Following the loss of its share in the Bracemac-McLeod mine last summer, Donner Metals has begun a process of rebuilding itself.
At an AGM last month, shareholders, among others, approved the sale of its interests in five joint ventures in Matagami, Quebec, which were under agreement with operator Glencore Canada.
